Providing Practical Legal Solutions
to Business
My practice includes both in-house counsel contract services, as well as more traditional commercial legal services. My clients range from owner-managed businesses to larger public companies in a variety of industries, including industrial equipment manufacturers, professional service providers, charities, technology companies, publishers and financial institutions.
With approximately 20 years of legal experience (both in-house and in private practice), my strength is providing practical and focused legal advice that helps clients achieve their business goals. My practice areas include general commercial contracts, software and technology licensing arrangements (including cloud/software-as-a-service contracts) commercial leases and transactions/M&A. I have also assisted many of my clients in developing standard form sales agreements and other
easy-to-use precedents.
When not practising law, I enjoy running through Toronto’s trail systems and ravines with my canine running “partner”. I also keep busy serving on the Board of CPAR, a Canada registered charity working in East Africa (with whom I spent a year volunteering in Uganda).
